Frozen
« on: March 17, 2015, 10:10:32 PM »
With the record breaking snow fall amounts here in New England it might be on account of Myfanwy wanting to Cosplay as Elsa.

This one of the rare times you will see Myffy, or any of my dolls, as a blonde.
Also a first for me was using a sew machine to alter the dress, and also braiding hair. I think that was more difficult.

Anyways, maybe these pictures will help melt some of this snow

Now that is some awesome work!   :thumb: :thumb:  Beautiful, Incred!  Bless her little heart...  She's always a willing participant for cold and wet.   ;D

Oh, and happy belated birthday!
You can sleep with a blonde, you can sleep with a brunette, but you'll never get any sleep with a redhead.

Wow! Those are Incredible shots!!!

I just hope she doesn't freeze her cute little bum off!

PS.  How was altering the dress with a sewing machine?
"Leaving it to the imagination" is highly overrated.

It actually worked out pretty well considering I was using mum's old Singer model 66 made in 1932, and the original belt disintegrated. Fortunately the new belt arrived today because I'll have to do Anna's next  :thumb:

The dress is a child's size 8-10, but still needed to be taken in. I split the back, and removed material. I used the machine to hem the edges then added Velcro. The front I cut out for the low neck line, and hemmed that edge. Next was to gather up the material under each boob.
Trying to sew all that by hand would really suck, and there are two types of fabric that need to be hemmed or they would fray.

The front is a satin, and back a stretchy spandex

Thanks Incred, you do good work!  LOL my mom had a similar machine.

Reminds me of my old mum's sewing machine with its bright lamp that was so hot there was always the smell of burning dust. Also it was retrofitted with an electric motor controlled by a pedal like a car accelerator. It was a fierce thing, but it worked well. Sadly, I no longer have it.

That's a great bit of doll work.

Every shop window here in England has things for sale with the Frozen tie-in. I do find Elsa rather attractive.

Incred,

Good job on the dress and very well done pictures! It is nice to see that you got the old Singer back on the job, too! It is a beautiful machine.

Beautiful photos, dress and setup, Incred. I am so glad I am here to witness excellent photo/project threads like this - this is what I enjoy most with doll ownership I think (besides from the other obvious thing *ehrm*).  :thumb:

She is so beautiful, both in and out of that dress, I find myself staring and developing a drooling problem. Please excuse my newbieness, but did you enhance the breasts at some point to become so perfect or did she always look like this?

Impressive Incred.  I'm envious of your editing skills.  My mom had an old Singer like that when I was a lad, her's was treadle powered tho.  I'm curious about the neck joint you've manufactured, is that something you make for sale or is it a one off device.  It's something I would have a use for to utilize my Rubies in my comic.  Also, I would like to see the specs for the stance modifier you've constructed for that.  My girls don't have the poseable arms like it's obvious Myffy has but I could make do with something, (I don't possess your engineering skills but I can improvise from time to time). Nice work  :thumb:

Fantastic work, Incred.

Myffy looks gorgeous as a blonde, too. That little rump is begging to be bitten!
