OK, new doll just arrived...now what do I do??
« on: October 18, 2017, 11:24:55 PM »
Yes...I know :-p

What I'm looking for is a checklist for initial preparation; stuff like oil, powder ect. I saw a great thread on it here that explained a lot of things that should be done as soon as it arrives but I'll be darned if I can find it?

Also recommended accessories? I got an outfit, comb and cleaning syringe thing and white gloves, what else do I need

Thx!

This brings up the great debate on oil or not to oil, this is the question....  8)

I have a YL doll that I have been doing baby oil baths monthly for the past 11 months that I recommend strongly as does YL Dolls.

Some argue this is not recommended by some TPE manufacturer.

This is what is recommended by WMDOLLS:

I would say I would get her on a monthly baby oil bath but I don't want to start WWIII.....

With that said, I posted these links on Kim's page you may be referring to.

Hot looking girl you have there!  I would like to welcome you both to ODC!  :fireworks:  :welcome: :fireworks:

I would contact WMDOLLS and see what their view is on oiling their dolls.

Maybe some members here with WM dolls will chime in.

I have use baby oil on a WM doll with no ill effects. The oil actually helps clean the dirt off the skin.

I oil the doll in the tub, then wash the oil and dirt off with dish washing liquid.

After I dry her I put more oil on and let it soak in. When dry I use corn starch baby powder.

It all stays in the tub for easy clean up.

I followed the honeymoon guide and took 2 days to wash, oil, powder, wash oil powder again. I did notice there was a good amount of "residue" left in the wash basin from doll when I washed it.  What is frustrating is the amount of contradicting info out there about doll care!

Anyway, I'm off and running, thanks!

First thing is, set her up and have some fun. Once you shoot a couple times, think about how your gonna take care of her.
