Holiday blues
« on: December 02, 2019, 05:38:59 PM »
I was going to post these yesterday for my birthday (the title photos were actually taken on Thanksgiving, the "lifter" shots are from yesterday).

This is the actual title photo of this thread. He looks so sad, that I literally forgot he was a doll when I was looking at his photos. :o

As the temps rose, so did another part of his silicone body. ;)

The rest of his shots can be seen in his gallery: http://www.ourdollcommunity.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=2332

I agree. :D

It's not "Cailan" C-wality, but it is still one of my favorite shots of him :thumb: (though I like my caption of his other headshot  ). I just wish he looked happier. Also, I love emo bois, ;D but his outfit here is too bright and cheery to be "emo." :(

As for moving him, I considered moving him into the living room (as suggested in another thread some where on this board). I would probably have to explain to maintenance why he isn't moving... but I don't speak Spanish (which makes explaining problems to them more, shall we say, "interesting" ::) )... but the more pressing issue is I can't fucking lift him (which is why I am selling him and possibly getting a lighter doll) so moving him from the sofa to change his outfit would be a lot harder than just tilting his folding chair over the back of my patio chair....and hoping he doesn't fall over again.  :(

I did however change his outfit after the photo shoot. Not only because the blue hoodie is technically "Akira's," but because it just seemed like too... I dunno bright. He's now wearing my brown pajama shirt (which matches both his jungle print boxers and his so-called "blonde" wig  ) and the same grey/black sweatshirt he wore last year.

He's looking pretty good in these pictures. Wish he had standing feet. That would make him easier to move.

I can't remember if it was an option or not when I bought him or if that was introduced slightly later. I know the so-called "locking joints" was considered a standardized customization (the default being "soft joints" which would make the doll lighter, but unable to hold a pose). The lack of standing feet is why they strongly "suggested" the $100 hanging stand.

However, an even easier way to move him is with two people. I seem to remember someone telling me they'd come to Orlando to help me dress him last year after his play or whatever ended? Who was that?
