I'm re-learning to post pics here at ODC in anticipation of the arrival of my Natalie Portrait Spinner from Private Island Beauties.  So here are a couple of shots of my "stand ins"  keeping me company since Gabrielle, Rebecca being the garage mannequin.

OK, so I need more time to study. This MacBook Air does't work like the old macbook I had back when.

I used to be able to click on a pic in the gallery and pull it over to the space between the two img brackets, and like magic, the photo appeared after clicking post.

Thank you Z-DR, but this post was just meant to be an exercise in posting a pic to a post for me.  There's a missing link in the process I haven't gotten  yet.

There's nothing in tech talk on posting from the the gallery to a MacBook.   I can't find a way to copy the url between the brackets Mona Lisa provides.

Can you go to your gallery and album, select a pic and post the URL?

For example, http://www.ourdollcommunity.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=2262&pos=5

This is the URL of the web page that shows the picture and thumbnails of those pics before and after.  The actual picture's URL is http://www.ourdollcommunity.com/gallery/albums/userpics/normal_fullsizeoutput_e93.jpeg.  If you click on the picture the full-size pic comes up and its URL is http://www.ourdollcommunity.com/gallery/albums/userpics/fullsizeoutput_e93.jpeg.

To find the full address in Internet Explorer you right click on the picture and select "Properties", in Firefox you right click on the picture and select "View Image Info".  I am fruit ignorant so I am not sure what hoops you have to jump through to get the full URL address of the image on one of those platforms.  Your post was missing most of the URL:

http://fullsizeoutput_e93.jpeg [I removed the image tags so you could see the URL that was posted.]

The http://fullsizeoutput_e93.jpeg should have read http://www.ourdollcommunity.com/gallery/albums/userpics/fullsizeoutput_e93.jpeg, which is what Halleheals talks about how to add back the missing URL info in his thread.

Thanks Z-DR, I am aware that I'm not able to copy the full url.  Halleheels tutorial is on an iPhone or iPad, it's not the same as my fruity laptop, there's a vital step missing.
  Funny thing is I used to be able to do it just by dragging the image from one window to  the other and place it between the img brackets, that no longer works for me.

You have the right filename, you just have to insert the full qualification in front of it.  Halleheals refers to this as creating a shortcut.  So, if you create the "shortcut" that is "www.ourdollcommunity.com/gallery/albums/userpics/" and insert it before the filename (and after the "http://") then it will work.  Halleheals includes the "http://" in his "shortcut".  Note: the "shortcut" is explained here http://ourdollcommunity.com/forum/index.php?topic=11033.msg139101#msg139101.

And I am resisting the process at the same time.  (I am my own worst enemy)

I'll get it eventually, cuz there will be pics I'll want to share.
