I was actually wondering the same thing. And all I can come up with is not only what you said, but that their current price point is one that 99.9% of prospective customers are ok with.

Other than that, I've got nothing.

That is true...maybe they will have a special Penguin coupon day soon 

I did notice that the ebony goddess model "Diana" no longer is listed as discontinued or out of production, but her "purchase" button does not light up when you try to use it...any info on this? Is she available as a special order or something? I just don't see a reason for her to even be displayed on the site (after all this time) if she is 100% unavailable.

EW rarely seems to do sales. Teddybabes are a pretty good deal at retail price, and I know the original TBs were pretty much handmade in a small factory.

Personally, I think the TBD is a bit over-priced... which is why I haven't purchased one. $1200 is a rough number; $999 was the perfect price.
